Alan Artman was named Chief Financial Officer of Faithlife Corporation (makers of Logos Bible Software) in early 2014 after acting as Interim Director Finance for several months in a part-time consulting capacity. At Faithlife he has focused on financial planning and analysis and reengineering the accounting business systems while supporting the business through a period of rapid growth. He has over 25 years of diverse experience including senior financial leadership roles in manufacturing, distribution, and banking. His proven areas of expertise include team building, process and performance improvement, financial analysis and reporting, profitability and costs analysis, systems and technology utilization, strategic planning and organization, and negotiations and formal presentations.

Most recently prior to Faithlife, Alan was the Chief Financial Officer of Seattle-based Vaupell Holdings, Inc. and Vaupell Industrial Plastics, Inc. During his tenure, Alan was instrumental in the significant growth of the six domestic divisions of Vaupell as well as establishing its manufacturing operation in Shenzhen, China.

Along with almost ten years as a commercial lender handling a wide variety of banking relationships, Alan has held senior financial management roles in Kelly Aerospace and Colonial Bank. This combination of banking and industry experience allows Alan to bring a unique perspective to his work.

Alan has been married to his wife, Pam, since 1987 and they have two children – Drew lives in Seattle and works with the corporate office of Nordstrom’s and Kathleen lives in Atlanta and works with Launch Global mobilizing college students interested in entering the missions field. He holds an MBA from Troy University and a BBA from The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, he completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking program. In addition to being active in his church, Alan serves on the Bellingham Whatcom County Commission Against Domestic Violence, is a member of the Bellingham Bay Rotary Club and he and his wife participate in programs working with international students from Western Washington University. While in Seattle, he was active in the Talk Time program supporting Chinese graduate scholars at the University of Washington and he was active in his church and a variety of civic causes during his 21 year career in Montgomery, Alabama.

Born in Freeport, Texas, Alan was raised in Freeport and Angleton, Texas; started his career in Houston; moved to Montgomery, Alabama (his wife’s home town) to raise their children; and was then recruited to Seattle for a new position. He and his wife love the Great Pacific Northwest and have made it home.
